Our Thoughts

The events that transpired on Yamatai have left archaeologist Lara Croft deeply traumatised, not least of which due to her encounters with the supernatural and unexplainable during said adventure. She's had a difficult time explaining the events to others and to herself, and with her mental health dancing on a knifes edge, she decides she needs answers; she re-opens the investigation into the lost city of Kitezh that her late father started years ago. However, her father's old partner, Ana, warns her that doing so will bring her no joy, as it was the investigation into Kitezh that cost her father his reputation, his sanity, and eventually, his life. Feeling like there is no other recourse for closure, Lara ignores Ana's warnings, and makes arrangements to start her search for the city post haste. Little does she know, however, that she's opening herself up to an entangled web of mysteries and impossible happenings unlike anything she could possibly imagine, nor that the answers she so desperately seek may not be the answers she wants...

This special re-release of the game includes several additional extras on top of the base game. The main draw is two additional gameplay modes: Blood Ties, an exploration based mode free of combat where Lara explores Croft Manor and uncovers its many secrets, and Lara's Nightmare, where the player has to do battle with waves of ultra aggressive enemies within Croft Manor and try their best to survive. Endurance mode now includes muliplayer support in this edition, and the entire game is compatible with Playstation VR. Finally, the developers added a special "classic"-style costume for Lara, based on her appearance in Tomb Raider III.
