Our Thoughts

The last proper fighting game Capcom produced for quite some time, Capcom Fighting Jam is around about what you'd expect of a Capcom fighter; fairly well balanced gameplay characterised by a fast pace, complex combo maps, ridiculous special moves and a eclectic cast made up of characters from Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and obscure boss rush fighter Red Earth, with each of the characters represented plays similarly to how they play in their game of origin, which makes for some interesting balance and some variety and, sprite work reused from products made some years prior to the game in question. With action backed by a soundtrack by famed composer Noriyuki Asakura, Capcom Fighting Jam may not bring a lot to the table that hadn't already been done before, but it does make for a very fun fighting game on the merit of the different playstyles per character alone.
