Our Thoughts

You take the role of Ryu Hayabusa in this classic game, which starts with the massacre of the Dragon Ninja village and the theft of the powerful, ancient scroll of Bushido. It is down to you, the last of the Dragon Ninja, to fund the Bushido and recover it before it can be used to unleash terrible evil across the world!

Ninja Gaiden begins with Ryu chasing a sumo who will tell you the reason why the village was burned down if you catch him, and everything starts to get serious from there. You have enough weapons in your arsenal to thwart your enemies by the score, and with a fast pace to follow you will need to find the ability to keep up – or the world may never be the same again if Ryu Hayabusa’s enemies succeed...

This is a fantastic platform fighting game with a lot of great elements, such as the ‘N’ power which gives you a huge boost when you are fighting the bosses of each level. Released in 1992 for the Sega Master System, Ninja Gaiden is considered to be one of the best games in the series and will certainly entertain you from start to finish.

The best game ever

Ninja Gaiden is without a shadow of a doubt, the best game ever released for the Master System. Swords, fists, Kung-Fu and all the rest. Can't believe it has been 16 years since it was released, it feels like yesterday to me :)
