    Our Thoughts

You are a Point Man for the First Encounter Assault Recon organisation, a covert special forces unit formed by the United States government for the purpose of protecting the country and it citizens from threats of a paranormal or supernatural persuasion. With only a weeks worth of experience with the unit, you are plunged right into the deep end when a rogue telepathic military commander, Paxton Fettel, takes control of an army of cloned super soldiers, and F.E.A.R. are put in charge of tracking him down and stopping whatever nefarious plan he’s harbouring. As it turns out, however, the rabbit hole goes far deeper then you could have initially predicted; throughout various encounters with the mad commander, nightmarish and sometimes dangerous visions and paranormal phenomena besiege you and your team mates, almost all of which seem to involve or are otherwise centred around a young girl in a bright red dress; files that are unearthed during your cases seem to draw links between Fettel, the girl in red, and a happening known as the “Synchronicity Event”...

F.E.A.R. is still something of a refreshing take on the tired and true First Person Shooter genre, blending the frenetic action associated with its contemporaries and blending it with off kilter, surreal supernatural horror.
