Our Thoughts

Throw in the extreme sport of snowboarding with spying and the concoction is Dark Summit. As Naya, the snowboarder, you wish to look into the strange goings on at Mt. Garrick. However she must first collect lift points when she finishes a number of missions that see her perform stunts. These would get her to the mountain top.

With some cool controls, stunts are quite easy to do. The combinations and timing and most of all the whacky characters add depth to gameplay. The visuals are average stuff for GameCube, but possess intricacy and pace. Purchasing funky clothes and snowboards using points earned does not alter real gaming action. If you are a fast mover on your snowboard then watch out for some painful repetitions that could test your patience.

While the speed and style of SSX Tricky and Dark Summit could be a far cry there is still the could-play-longer thought enhancing the fun. Even for the consummate boarder who has got the right abilities and temperament, Dark Summit still holds sufficient interest as an arcade snowboard game albeit with a little twist. Go for it now!
