Crazy Taxi [Platinum] for PlayStation 2
Have you always wanted to be a Taxi driver? Is your need for speed equal only to your need for cold hard cash? Do you really, really like The Offspring? My friends, Crazy Taxi is the game you’ve been waiting for, and then some; you take on the roll of one of a selection of Too Hip To Live Taxi Drivers working in downtown San Francisco, your one and only goal to get as much green from the public as possible by way of frenetic arcade action. Customers are split into three groups of varying difficulty- some don’t need to go far and give you plenty of time, some need to travel further and are incredibly impatient, and there’s a few sitting somewhere in the middle- and, instead of being reasonably terrified of the antics you’re expected to get up to in Crazy Taxi (driving over pavement, launching over hills, squeezing through tightly packed traffic, and generally playing it anything but safe), the entire city is absolutely mad about hilariously dangerous car rides, and will even pay you bonuses for the more extreme brushes of death you incur. Successfully getting a punter to their rightful place nets you points in the form of cash and additional time on your counter, the game ending when said timer runs down to zero.
