    Our Thoughts

Battlestations: Pacific find you treading familiar territory; the battles at Okinawa and Pearl Harbor. Strategic planning is but one name for the game this time around, as more adventurous players will find that the game also supports a faster, more action driven style of play for those that demand it, which alongside the vast open world areas, flexibility of unit command, a Skirmish mode that pits you against AI opponents, and the requisite cooperative online multiplayer (one of five multiplayer modes), makes it one very tantalising package all on its own.

The real joy, however, arguably comes from the fact that you can either follow history by playing as the allied US forces and restoring peace across the Pacific region, or rewrite it entirely by playing as the Japanese forces, utterly crushing the opposing allies at Pearl Harbor and holding a much more powerful hand in the future of the Pacific, meaning the game appeals to those who enjoy campaigns that follow history to the letter, and those that prefer to play much faster and loose with their war games.
